AI Voice Bot Examples: Sample Calls by Industry
An AI voice bot example is a sample call in which a bot handles a real business task, such as calling back a new enquiry, confirming a cash-on-delivery order or answering a clinic's phone after hours. This post lays out seven such calls across Indian industries, each with the mode, the opening line in the caller's own language, the fields captured and the point where the bot should hand over to a person. The businesses are fictional and the calls are written illustrations of how an Outpero agent is set up, not recordings of customers.
What a useful voice bot example shows
Most voice bot demos on vendor sites are a polished thirty seconds of an agent saying hello. That proves the voice works and nothing else. A useful example shows a task from start to finish: who is being called and why, the first line, how the bot handles a typical reply, what it writes down and when it gives up and passes the call to a person.
Every example below follows that shape. It names the mode (instant lead call, inbound answering, bulk campaign or voice broadcast), the language and the fields the bot captures, so that you can judge any vendor's demo against the same checklist. For the language-by-language writing advice behind the lines, see the script guide linked at the end.
All businesses and names are fictional. The lines are written to show structure and tone, and a live agent varies its wording from call to call. English translations follow each opening. Calls that should reach a person can be transferred to your team, and these examples mark where.
The seven examples at a glance
| Industry | Mode | Language | Task | Fields captured |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Real estate | Instant lead call | Hindi with English | Call a Facebook lead within 30 seconds and book a site visit | Budget, BHK, locality, visit slot |
| Clinic | Inbound answering | Tamil with English | Answer the front desk line and book a slot | Patient name, doctor, slot, phone |
| Insurance | Bulk campaign | Hindi | Remind policyholders about an upcoming renewal | Intent, preferred callback time |
| E-commerce COD | Instant call | Kannada with English | Confirm a cash-on-delivery order before dispatch | Confirmed or cancelled, address fix |
| Coaching institute | Instant lead call | Marathi with English | Follow up an admission enquiry and fix a counselling visit | Class, batch, visit slot |
| Hotel and travel | Inbound answering | Malayalam with English | Answer after-hours enquiries and capture a booking request | Dates, guests, room type, contact |
| Events | Voice broadcast | Telugu | Play one fixed reminder to a list, with no conversation | Delivery status only |
1. Real estate lead callback in Hindi
A buyer submits a Meta lead ad for a fictional project, Sai Heights, at 10:42 pm. The agent dials within 30 seconds, while the enquiry is fresh. This is instant lead calling, the mode that matters most when portals such as 99acres, MagicBricks and Housing.com sell the same lead to several builders.
- —Translation: Hello sir, I am calling from Sai Heights. You just filled in a form about the Gachibowli project, can we talk for two minutes?
The agent follows the caller's switch into English without changing voice, captures the budget and configuration, books a real slot in the sales team's calendar and sends the location on WhatsApp. If the buyer asks to negotiate price or wants to speak to a manager immediately, that is the transfer point.
2. Clinic front desk in Tamil
A fictional dental clinic in Coimbatore gets calls while the receptionist is with a patient or after closing time. This is inbound answering, where the agent picks up the clinic's number around the clock, books the appointment and logs the call.
- —Agent: வணக்கம், Kovai Smile Dental Clinic.
- —Translation: Hello, Kovai Smile Dental Clinic. How can I help you?
Captured fields are name, phone, treatment, doctor and slot. The agent recognises returning patients through caller memory and picks up from the last conversation instead of starting over. Anything clinical, such as a question about pain or medication, is handed to staff rather than answered by the bot.
3. Insurance renewal reminder in Hindi
A fictional agency in Indore calls policyholders whose motor policy expires next month. This is a bulk campaign from an uploaded CSV, with calling windows, retries and DND screening. The aim is a conversation, not a sales pitch, and any advice about cover stays with the licensed agent.
- —Translation: Hello, I am calling from Malwa Insurance Services. Your vehicle policy ends on the twelfth of next month. May I tell you about renewal?
The useful output is not a sale. It is a clean disposition for every row: interested, call back at a stated time, not interested or wrong number. Each channel works through about 55 dials an hour, so a 3,000-row list on five channels takes roughly eleven hours, spread across calling windows.
4. COD order confirmation in Kannada
A fictional Bengaluru D2C brand wants to cut returns from cash-on-delivery orders that the buyer never intended to accept. The agent calls shortly after the order is placed and asks the buyer to confirm.
Want to hear this working, not just read about it?
- —Translation: Hello, I am calling from Namma Kitchen Store. You placed an order for a mixer grinder today, can you confirm it?
- —Caller: ಹೌದು, but address ಸ್ವಲ್ಪ change ಮಾಡಬೇಕು, flat number ತಪ್ಪಾಗಿದೆ.
The result is a confirmed or cancelled flag, a corrected address written to the order sheet, and a webhook that tells the dispatch system what to do. Fixing the address on the call, not after a failed delivery, is the saving.
5. Coaching admission follow-up in Marathi
A fictional institute in Pune calls a parent who enquired about NEET coaching on its website. The parent works during the day and is more likely to answer in the evening, so the agent uses a calling window and retries.
- —Translation: Hello, I am calling from Sahyadri Academy. You enquired on our website about the NEET batch, can you talk for two minutes now?
Captured fields include class, subject, batch preference and visit slot. A detailed fee negotiation or scholarship question goes to a counsellor, and the transcript goes with it so the parent does not repeat the story.
6. After-hours hotel enquiries in Malayalam
A fictional homestay near Munnar receives calls from tourists at night, when no one is at the desk. The agent answers, captures the request and the owner follows up in the morning.
- —Agent: നമസ്കാരം, Munnar Mist Homestay ആണ്.
- —Translation: Hello, this is Munnar Mist Homestay. How can I help?
Dates, guests, room type and contact number go to a sheet and to the owner's WhatsApp. The bot does not promise a rate it has not been given. It captures the request and says when a person will confirm.
7. Event reminder by voice broadcast in Telugu
This one is not a conversation. Voice broadcast plays one fixed message, an audio file or synthesised text, to everyone on a list, and the call ends when the message ends. It is billed at a lower rate than AI conversation minutes.
- —Translation: Hello, this is a reminder from Vizag Tech Meetup. The event is tomorrow at six in the evening at Rushikonda. Please do come. Thank you.
Use broadcast for announcements, reminders and alerts where no reply is needed. If the listener might want to ask a question or reschedule, use a conversational call instead.
Using these examples to judge any vendor's demo
- 01Ask the vendor to run the same task in your language, not their showcase language.
- 02Interrupt once and speak a mixed-language sentence. A scripted demo cannot do this.
- 03Ask what the bot writes down, and where. A conversation with no structured output is a toy.
- 04Ask when it hands over to a person and what the person sees.
- 05Ask for the price of one connected minute and what is excluded. Outpero's is ₹5 Standard or ₹6.8 Premium excluding 18% GST, with 50 free credits to try the task above.
Mistakes that make a voice bot example fail
Looking across the seven calls, the same few design errors turn a good example into a bad one. Most are about the script and the set-up, not the voice.
- —Opening with the pitch instead of the reason for the call. The caller needs to hear why you are calling before anything else.
- —Asking three questions in one turn. The caller answers the last one and the bot loses the other two.
- —No exit. If the caller says they are busy, the bot must offer a time and end politely, not push on.
- —No handover rule. Decide in advance which words or situations send the call to a person, such as a complaint, a request for a manager or a medical question.
- —Capturing nothing structured. A recording alone does not feed a CRM. Choose the fields before launch.
- —Promising what the bot does not know. A bot should say a person will confirm a rate or a date, not invent one.
Each of those is fixed in the instructions you give the agent, which is why the script guide linked below is worth reading before you build your first call.
Frequently asked questions
What is an example of an AI voice bot?
+
A typical example is a bot that calls a new property enquiry within 30 seconds, asks for budget and location in Hindi or Telugu, books a site visit in a calendar and writes the result to a sheet. Another is a bot that answers a clinic's phone after hours, books appointments and logs every call.
Can I hear a real voice bot call before I sign up?
+
Written examples show structure, but a live test is better. Outpero gives 50 free credits at signup with no card, enough for a few test calls in your own language. Run the call you actually need, such as a lead callback, and judge the voice, the pauses and the written summary.
Which industries use voice bots most in India?
+
Real estate, clinics, education, insurance, loans, e-commerce cash-on-delivery, car dealerships, recruitment, solar and travel all have clear call patterns. The strongest fits are repetitive calls with a defined outcome: a callback, a booking, a reminder or a confirmation, where speed and consistency matter more than negotiation.
Does a voice bot replace my telecallers?
+
Not entirely. A bot suits first contact, qualification, reminders and after-hours answering, and it can transfer calls to your team when a person should take over. Closing, negotiation and sensitive conversations remain human work. Most teams use the bot to give telecallers better, warmer conversations to handle.
Can a voice bot speak regional languages with English mixed in?
+
Yes, for the languages it supports. Outpero handles Hindi, Telugu, Tamil, Marathi, Kannada, Malayalam and Indian English, and follows the caller when they switch to English mid-sentence, in the same voice. Test any vendor by saying a mixed sentence and listening for a natural reply.
How is voice broadcast different from a voice bot?
+
Voice broadcast plays one fixed message to everyone on a list and ends when the message ends, with no AI conversation. A voice bot listens, replies and captures answers. Broadcast suits reminders and announcements, is billed at a lower rate than conversation minutes, and costs less to run on large lists.
The Outpero team builds AI voice agents for Indian businesses, in Hindi, Telugu, Tamil, Marathi, Kannada, Malayalam and English. Figures are from Outpero's own product unless another source is named.
