Which AI voice tier should I choose: Standard or Premium?
Choose by how much the voice itself affects the outcome. Outpero's Standard voice at ₹5 per minute suits everyday sales and support, from reminders and confirmations to lead calls, and is the tier most businesses use; Premium at ₹6.8 is the most lifelike voice, for high-value conversations where trust and natural flow matter most. Prices exclude 18% GST.
The two tiers side by side
| Tier | Per connected minute | What it is | Typical jobs |
|---|---|---|---|
| Standard | ₹5 | Expressive voices for everyday sales and support, the most chosen | COD confirmation, payment and appointment reminders, event invites, new lead callbacks, qualification, site-visit and demo booking |
| Premium | ₹6.8 | Our most lifelike voices, for calls where the voice is the brand | High-ticket sales, first calls to warm leads, premium brands |
A simple decision rule
- —If the caller mostly says yes, no or a date, use Standard. The script does the work.
- —If the agent needs to answer questions and qualify, Standard still works.
- —If a single conversion is worth tens of thousands of rupees, or callers in your market hang up on anything that sounds synthetic, test Premium.
- —If no reply is needed at all, such as a holiday notice or an offer announcement, voice broadcast plays one fixed message and is billed at a lower rate than any AI conversation tier.
What the difference costs
Take 1,000 connected calls of 2 minutes, or 2,000 minutes. Standard costs ₹10,000 and Premium ₹13,600, so the step from Standard to Premium is ₹3,600 for the same 2,000 minutes. Both exclude 18% GST.
Whether that is worth it depends on what a conversion is worth. For a jewellery store following up on wedding-season enquiries or a real estate developer calling 99acres leads on a 1-crore flat, one extra booked visit covers the Premium difference many times over. For a D2C brand confirming ₹600 COD orders, it usually does not.
Test before you decide
The cheapest way to choose is to split a campaign. Run half the list on Standard and half on Premium for a week, compare pickup-to-interest rates in the dashboard, and keep the tier that produces cheaper outcomes rather than cheaper minutes.
Both tiers speaks Hindi, Telugu, Tamil, Marathi, Kannada, Malayalam and Indian English, and follows callers who switch into English mid-sentence. Because the difference between tiers is ₹2 per minute, a week-long split test on a few hundred calls costs little and settles the choice with data rather than opinion.

Follow-up questions
Does the Standard voice sound robotic?
+
No. Standard voices are expressive voices built for everyday sales and support, and they are the most chosen tier. They suit reminders, confirmations and lead calls. For conversations where the voice is the brand, such as a first sales call to a high-value lead, Premium is the more lifelike choice. Test each on your own phone with the 50 free signup credits.
