What is Power dialer?
A power dialer is an auto-dialer that automatically calls the next number on a list as soon as an agent finishes the previous call, dialing a fixed number of lines per available agent.
Also called: progressive dialer, power dialler
Unlike a predictive dialer it does not try to forecast agent availability; the ratio is fixed, often one line per agent, so very few calls are abandoned. It is popular with small sales and inside-sales teams because the agent sees the lead's details as the call connects. Progressive dialing is a close variant that waits for the agent to be ready before each dial.
A power dialer is the safer middle ground: fewer silent calls than predictive dialing and much higher throughput than manual dialing.
