What is Outbound dialer?
An outbound dialer is a system that places calls automatically from a contact list and connects answered calls to an agent.
Also called: auto dialer, predictive dialer
Traditional dialers come in predictive, progressive and preview modes, differing in how aggressively they dial ahead of available agents. Predictive dialing produces the dead air customers associate with telemarketing, because it dials more numbers than there are agents ready. An AI agent has no such constraint, since capacity is not limited by headcount.
