Best AI Telecalling Software in India: How to Choose (2026)

The best AI telecalling software for an Indian business holds a real conversation in your customers' language, calls new leads within seconds, and prices calls in a way you can predict. Outpero publishes this guide and is one of the options (Standard ₹5 or Premium ₹6.8 a connected minute, no setup fee), but it is not the right pick on every criterion. Use the eight criteria and the 20-call pilot below to decide, not a ranking.

Outpero publishes this guide and sells one of the products compared here. Vendor facts come from each vendor's public website, checked on 14 October 2026 (Edesy on 30 July 2026), and we mark where a vendor wins. Pricing and features change, so confirm on the vendor's site before you commit.

What AI telecalling software is

AI telecalling software is a system that places or answers phone calls and holds the conversation itself, the way a telecaller would, then records the outcome. It differs from an auto-dialer, which only connects a human to a number, and from an IVR, which plays a menu and waits for a keypress.

The reason Indian businesses look at it is cost and capacity. A human telecaller in India costs roughly ₹15,000 to ₹25,000 a month (₹18,000 is a fair reference), works one shift and handles one call at a time. The same budget in AI calling is billed only for connected talk time, runs at any hour, and can run several calls at once when you add channels.

It does not replace judgement. The sensible split is that AI makes the first contact, qualifies, books and reminds, and a person takes the calls that need negotiation or reassurance.

Eight criteria that decide the choice

1. Language, including the mixed language

Indian callers rarely stay in one language. A lead in Hyderabad starts in Telugu and drops an English word every few seconds; a Pune lead does the same in Marathi. Ask which Indian languages are live and, more usefully, how the agent copes when the caller switches mid-sentence. Be sceptical of long lists of languages with none named: that is a claim, not a test result.

2. Conversation or script

Some products play a recorded flow with keypress branches. Others hold an open conversation and answer questions you did not script. Ask for a live call with an objection in it: 'send me details on WhatsApp' or 'call me after 6'.

3. Speed to lead

A new enquiry cools quickly. Look for a native path from Meta lead ads, Google Ads lead forms, website forms or a CRM, and a stated time to first call. Outpero dials a new lead within 30 seconds. IndiaMART, JustDial and property-portal leads usually reach it through Zapier, Make or a webhook.

4. Compliance on Indian lines

Outbound calling in India runs into TRAI rules, DLT registration and the DND registry. Ask whether the calling line is DLT-registered, whether bulk lists are screened against DND, and whether the agent identifies itself as an AI. Several global platforms do not mention India or DLT anywhere on their public pricing and documentation pages. This is not legal advice; take it to your adviser.

5. Price shape and what is billed

Compare the full monthly bill at your volume, not the headline. Check whether you pay per connected minute or per attempt, whether the number is extra, whether there is a monthly minimum, and whether the quoted rate includes speech, language model and telephony. All Outpero prices exclude 18% GST.

6. Concurrency

How many calls can run at once decides how long a campaign takes. In Outpero a channel is one call at a time on your number; extra channels are ₹649 a month each. As a rough guide, each channel works through about 55 dials an hour, so 1,000 dials on 3 channels take roughly 6 hours.

Want to hear this working, not just read about it?

7. What you get after the call

Look for a recording, a transcript, a summary, the custom fields you asked for and a webhook into your CRM or sheet. Outpero logs the credits each call used. A product that cannot hand you data you can export is a black box.

8. Human handover and setup model

Decide whether the call can be transferred to your team when a person should take it, and whether you can sign up and test alone or must go through a sales cycle and pilot. Outpero transfers calls to your team and lets you test with 50 free credits and no card.

Where each option is the better choice

  • —SquadStack, if you want someone else to run and tune the campaign, you can wait for a two-week setup and a four to eight week pilot, and you need Gujarati or Bengali.
  • —Vomyra, if you will reliably use more than about 4,000 minutes a month on one line and prefer a flat bill.
  • —Edesy, if you make a few hundred calls a month and want minutes included in a small monthly fee.
  • —Ringg AI, if you want to design the call flow visually and also deploy chat agents.
  • —Exotel, Ozonetel, Knowlarity or MyOperator, if your people stay on the phone and you need numbers, IVR, dialers and routing, with AI as an add-on.
  • —Gnani.ai, if you are a bank or regulated enterprise needing on-premise deployment or Punjabi, Gujarati or Bengali.

Where Outpero fits

Outpero is built for a business that wants an AI employee on the phone without a build project. It talks to customers in the language they do business in, including the English they mix in, which English-first voice agents handle badly. It runs four modes: instant lead calling, bulk campaigns from a CSV with scheduling, calling windows, retries and DND screening, inbound calls answered around the clock, and voice broadcast. Voice broadcast is a different thing: one fixed message played to everyone on a list, not an AI conversation.

On the call, it can book a slot in a calendar, read or write a spreadsheet, call your API, send a WhatsApp message and transfer to your team. It recognises returning callers and picks up from the last conversation. Afterwards you get the recording, transcript, summary, sentiment and your custom fields in the dashboard and at your webhook.

Outpero is a poor fit if you need Bengali, Gujarati, Punjabi, Odia or Urdu, if you need a full contact-centre suite for human agents, or if you need on-premise deployment. In those cases, the vendors above are the better starting points.

A 20-call pilot that settles it

  1. 01Pick one job: new-lead qualification, appointment booking or payment reminder. Write the five things a good call must capture.
  2. 02Prepare 20 real contacts in the language your customers use, including a few who will switch to English mid-sentence.
  3. 03Run the same list through each shortlisted product, on the same day, with the same instructions. Your own number should be one of the 20, so you hear what customers hear.
  4. 04Score every call on four things: did the agent understand, did it capture the five fields correctly (check the transcript against the recording), did it handle one objection, and did it hand over cleanly when asked.
  5. 05Divide the total bill by the number of calls that reached your goal. That is your real cost per outcome, which matters more than the rate.
  6. 06Check compliance: the opening line identifies the agent as an AI, the line is registered, calls fall inside permitted hours, and a person who says do not call is not called again.

On cost, ₹18,000 a month for a telecaller buys about 3,400 connected minutes of Outpero Standard once the ₹649 number is covered, roughly 57 hours of conversation, at any hour, with no sick days. A person spends part of a shift dialling, waiting and writing notes. That does not make AI better at every call, but it makes the pilot worth running.

Frequently asked questions

What is the best AI telecalling software in India?

+

It depends on your job and volume. For a self-serve start in regional languages, Outpero is one option; Vomyra suits steady high volume, SquadStack suits managed campaigns, and Exotel or Ozonetel suit teams that keep human callers. Run a 20-call pilot on your own list and compare cost per outcome, not features.

How much does AI telecalling software cost in India?

+

Published rates range from about ₹2 to ₹6.8 a minute, or flat monthly fees from ₹15,000 and up. Outpero charges ₹5 (Standard) or ₹6.8 (Premium) per connected minute with no setup fee, plus ₹649 a month for a number including one channel, all before 18% GST. Always check minimums and what the rate includes.

Can AI telecalling software replace human telecallers?

+

It can take the repetitive first-contact work: calling new leads within seconds, qualifying them, booking appointments, and sending reminders. People still do better on negotiation, complaints and high-value sales. Most teams use AI for first contact and transfer promising or sensitive calls to staff. Outpero can transfer a call to your team when a person should take it.

Does AI telecalling work in Hindi, Telugu, Tamil and other Indian languages?

+

Yes, in selected products. Outpero speaks Hindi, Telugu, Tamil, Marathi, Kannada, Malayalam and Indian English at the same price, and switches to English mid-sentence when the caller does. Bengali, Gujarati, Punjabi, Odia and Urdu are not supported, so check the language list of any vendor before signing up.

Is AI telecalling legal in India?

+

Calling is legal, but TRAI calling-hour rules, DLT registration of the calling line, and the Do Not Disturb registry apply, and the agent should say it is an AI. Outpero uses a DLT-registered line and screens bulk campaigns against DND. This is general information, not legal advice; confirm requirements for your use case with your adviser.

How fast can AI telecalling software start calling new leads?

+

That is one of the main selection criteria. Outpero dials a new enquiry within 30 seconds of it arriving from Meta lead ads, Google Ads lead forms, website forms or a CRM, and from portals such as IndiaMART or JustDial through Zapier, Make or a webhook. Ask every vendor for a stated time and test it.

Can I try AI telecalling software before paying?

+

Many vendors offer a trial, though the form varies: some give free credits, some a paid trial, some only a sales demo. Outpero gives 50 free credits at signup, with no card required, which is enough for a small pilot. Unanswered calls are not billed, and credits do not expire.
